ABOUT MIRANDA

Hi!  I’m Miranda Snyder and I live just north of Pittsburgh, Pa.  Simply Unique Face Painting was born out of a combination of my great love for both art and children.  I have been doing various art projects and face painting for churches, fundraisers, street fairs and special events with over 19 years of experience working with children. 

My background includes working as a Paraprofessional for Butler Area School District, Butler, PA, as a Supervisor for Community Alliance Church Mom’s group, Butler, PA, as an Assistant Group Supervisor for Harmony-Zelienople Methodist Church’s Daycare, Zelienople, PA, and working as a private Nanny.

I create artistic professional face painting and body art designs that will transform your special event!  I am truly blessed to be able to make people happy with my art!  Seeing the smiles on their faces once they look in the mirror is the best part of my job!  

In addition to face painting, I offer Henna Tattoos, Glitter Tattoos, Airbrush Temporary Tattoos, Neon Glow Face and Body Painting that is good anywhere UV lighting is used, Pregnancy Belly Painting and offer special “Custom Sessions” for any holidays or special events. 

I will be keeping up with the latest technique and most popular designs, and using the highest quality FDA compliant, non-toxic, cosmetic grade and smudge free products that dry within a couple of minutes when applied and that are easily removed with soap and water.

SAFER WAY TO PAINT

You can rest assured that all brushes and/or tips used for face painting, henna, glitter tattoos, and temporary tattoos will be cleaned and or soaked/wiped off in a disinfectant solution between every guest being painted, as well as a new sponge, or tip used between guests getting other services, and regularly wiping down of all surfaces. The paints that are being used for face painting are now being worked up with a vinegar and water solution while painting instead of the usual water when working up the paints. This also ensures that the paints themselves are being sanitized as they are being used. We are using “white vinegar” which is non-toxic, a natural antibacterial, and a natural anti-fungal. White vinegar has been used for centuries as a cleaning agent, and best of all it won’t harm the skin! In between jobs everything used is also cleaned with 99% alcohol solution to further ensure the safety of each patron.
